Need Healing?

God is a Healer. It is His very nature to heal. He has revealed Himself to us as "The Lord Who Heals" (Exodus 15:26). Nothing is too difficult or complex for Him! Your illness may confound doctors, but it doesn't confound God! He heals the body, heals the spirit, heals the heart, heals families, cities, and nations! It is as natural and easy for God to heal as it is for you to breathe! Take a deep breath! Now exhale! That's how easy it is for God to heal you. As your Creator and "Manufacturer" trust that He will fix anything that's broken. That's His guarantee.

I've seen His healing power first hand. I've experienced it, and I've seen members of my family healed, saved, and delivered! Doctors gave up hope for my foster mother. They told her she would die. The cancer literally ravaged her body. She received prayer, a friends and family prayed for her. God healed her miraculously. Her healing confounded doctors. "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him" (Acts 10:38, NKJV)

"Now when the sun was setting, all those wo had anyone sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them" (Luke 4:40, NKJV).

Guess what? Jesus hasn't changed! He still heals! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever! (Hebrews 13:8, NKJV). Although He's not walking the earth physically now, He made provision for you to be healed through His Word and His Name. His Name packs a lot of power!

Because of the sacrifice of Jesus to redeem you, healing is already yours. Yes, He paid the price for you to have it, now you must receive it by faith.

"Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed" (1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV).

There are three primary ways you can receive God's supernatural healing. He heals anyway He pleases, and in a multitude of ways, and through many different methods, but let's just look at these ones for now. Remember, it's not the method, but God who heals.

1. Let Someone Minister to You

Do you have someone who can pray for you? God's word says that in "My name . . . they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover" (Mark 16:17, 18). Further, James 5:14, 15 says, "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."

Find a good church, or a a network of believers who will pray for you. There are many places online you can send requests out to, but I encourage you, to seek out your local pastor or church for prayer. 2. Pray for Yourself

Your challenge is not insurmountable. Jesus said, "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, "Be removed and be cast into the sea," and does not doubt in his heart, but believes those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says" (Mark 11:23, 24, NKJV). Wow. You can move mountains with a word! God has empowered you to receive healing, by faith. "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."

3. Take Mega-Doses of God's Word

God's word heals! It heals the broken heart. It heals the flesh, the mind, the body, the spirit. God's word tells us to get a hold of His word, and never let His word out of your sight. Keep His promises in the midst of your heart, for they are life and health!

"He sent His word and healed them" (Psalm 107:20a).

"My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh" (Proverbs 4:20-22).
